This module covers all the basic principles of English contract law—insurable interest, disclosure and representations, warranties and other terms, claims and post-contractual good faith. As context to these principles, the module seeks to provide you with an understanding of the position of England within the international insurance marketplace and the practicalities of the business environment—covering issues such as agency, reinsurance, regulation and methods of dispute resolution. This module also provides you with an overview of the recent law reform process and the impact that the resulting changes are likely to have in the areas which they address.
