The purpose of this module is to give you some basic familiarity with core parts of the English legal system. By providing context and an elementary foundation of knowledge, it aims to assist your transition to the study of subject law modules (like constitutional law, or criminal law). It also aims to sow the seed of a critical and inquisitive approach to the study of law. This is a self-study module.
This module is pass / fail only. It is assessed through multiple choice questions. You must get all multiple choice questions correct to pass. You may repeat the multiple choice test as often as needed.
