Department Administrator, Law School

Oliver is Administrator for the Department of Law.

Department Administrators provide frontline administrative support to the Head of Department and academic colleagues to enable the delivery of strategic departmental priorities. They are first point of contact for operational support within the department and core areas of support include:

• Co-ordinating departmental meetings by carrying out effective agenda planning, note-taking, action tracking and reporting on outcomes
• Organising and delivering department/local events in conjunction with academic leaders and liaising with other relevant Professional Services to coordinate
• Co-ordinating departmental processes
• Overseeing academic recruitment
• Facilitating communications at a local level 

The HASS Faculty Operations Team works collaboratively with colleagues from across the University to deliver strategies, processes and provide administrative support to staff and leadership teams. To read more about the Faculty Operations Teams click here.

Prior to working at the University, Oliver was the Designated Clerk to the Designated Civil Judge for Devon & Cornwall - based at the County Court in Exeter, as well as a member of the Central Listing team that oversaw the listing of civil and family court work for the whole of Devon & Cornwall.
