Scott Atkins is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Exeter. He gained a First class Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Birmingham, followed by a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course, and thereafter practised as a solicitor, specialising in all types of conveyancing matters. He retains his name on the Roll of Solicitors but no longer practices, following a move into Higher Education in the early 2000s. He has taught in HE institutions in the Midlands, the Channel Islands and the Cayman Islands, on a variety of programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate academic and vocational stages. He has also managed two law schools.
