Sam joined Exeter Law School in 2026.
Prior to joining the University, Sam worked as a solicitor at a large regional law firm, and then a specialist boutique law firm for a total of 12 years, reaching Senior Associate level. Whilst in practice Sam specialised in all areas of media law, particularly: defamation, breach of privacy, contempt of court, reporting restrictions, intellectual property, data protection, and media regulation. Most of Sam's clients were regional, national, and international publishers.
Sam undertook her undergraduate degree in journalism at Cardiff University, and undertook her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at UWE in Bristol.
