Mrs Kim McDonald

Kim is a practising Solicitor and Lecturer In Law at the University.
Kim graduated from Reading University and completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Exeter. As a practising Solicitor Kim deals with a wide range of civil litigation cases and specialises in employment law. Kim was with an Exeter based law firm for over 15 years where she obtained the position of Partner, heading up the Employment Team.
Kim is a Civil and Commercial Mediator and undertakes a range of mediations involving various types of disputes from small claims to high value claims. Kim is also trained in facilitating mediations involving employment disputes. Kim is a mediator on the Devon and Somerset Law Society Mediation Panel who are the mediators for the small claims mediation pilot scheme at Exeter and Newton Abbot County court.
Kim is the Deputy Director of Clinical Legal Education and assists in the running of the University of Exeter Community Law Clinic and is a Lecturer on the Clinic Module and she is the Convenor for the Employment Law module.
Kim has a particular interest in clinical legal education and her specialist area and focus is in employment law. Kim also has a keen interest in mediation due to her background and experience in the area.
