Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
The Law School aims to be known and celebrated for having a vibrant, supportive working environment that promotes fairness, diversity, professionalism and achievement for all staff and students.
Our EDI Committee brings together staff with responsibility for a range of portfolios, including research, education, global engagement, widening participation, student support and student skills development. Its members sit on all of the Law School’s core committees and its Departmental Leadership Team, ensuring that EDI considerations influence all aspects of Law School activity.
In 2022, the Law School pledged its commitment to the Athena Swan Charter Principles, which promote gender equality in higher education. Our Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team is currently working towards the submission of an application for a Bronze Award.
